On Sunday our friend let us in on a local foodie secret: the Seattle Underground Market. It’s a monthly event featuring home chefs, potential restraunteurs, & established restaurants trying out new items on the public. It is basically what I wish Bite of Seattle could be. Entry is $5 and plates are between $1-$5. There is a wide variety of cuisines, & options for those with dietary restrictions are well marked. There was also an exhibit of Food Porn photography by Paula Thomas. We went home with full bellies & a print of an octopus dish.
While the next date is public, the location is kept a secret. Members receive an email with the location the evening before the event. Membership is free! You can sign up on their website.
