Tybee Island

Tybee Island is a cute beach town & the #2 destination people tell you not to miss in Savannah. Off season beach towns are always interesting. Deeply discounted rooms almost make up for all the restaurants closing early! We still had a great time wandering the beach & exploring the lighthouse.

East coast beaches just feel different. Maybe it’s the sand, maybe it’s the older structures, but I think it’s the different flora & fauna. Even if you don’t know the names, you know the difference. Except the seagulls. Seagulls are the same everywhere.

Horseshoe Crab shell! First one I’ve seen since being a kid.
